A man suspected to be behind the death of the mother of a four-year-old boy who was ‘found abandoned’ at Do Darya seven days ago, is said to have been hiding in Sadiqabad, according to the suspect’s wife statement.
“It has been a week now since he was brought to us and he still remains restless,” said Humaira Faiz Mohammad, a volunteer at the Edhi Home at Mithadar, about toddler Abdullah on Thursday. “God knows what he has been through, what he has witnessed that gives him nightmares,” she added, shaking her head while gesturing to keep our voices down as young Laiba, one of the other children there, gently passes her little fingers through Abdullah’s hair as he rests on a couch in the TV room where sleep engulfs him once again.
“I have spent 13 years here and I can see that he is not like the other children who come here. They forget their past very quickly. He doesn’t. He cries for his mother. ‘Mamma, Mamma’, he calls out as he looks for her here, upstairs and downstairs. In his eyes I see the same query about his mother. What can one say to him?” the volunteer wondered aloud with a sigh.
To recap, Saad Edhi at the Edhi Centre said that the little boy was brought to their Clifton Centre at around 11:35pm on May 25. “Rizwan Ayaz, the man who left him, said that the child was lost apparently and that he had been searching for his family at Do Darya, where he found him, for a couple of hours before giving up and bringing him to us,” shared Edhi’s grandson.
Sonia, spouse of Rizwan Ayaz Khan – the man who gave over the kid, Abdullah, to Edhi Center in Clifton – has told police that the last time she addressed her significant other was on Wednesday night yet she couldn't affirm where he was, said Adeel Hussain Chandio director of police heading the case examinations.
Halima, mother of Abdullah, was discovered dead in Delhi Colony on May 31 after police broke into her home on the protestation of her neighbors, who grumbled of a foul stench originating from the house. At the time, the two occurrences - the youngster's relinquishment and the mother's demise – were not interlinked. The association rose later when police discovered that the man who gave the youngster over to Edhi was the person who leased the house where the body was found.
As indicated by SP Chandio, Sonia told the police that she knew Halima from Qayyumabad. Halima lived as an occupant in their home and her better half, Chaudhry Iqbal, once in a while went to her. A couple of months back, Halima went out and vanished. She said she doesn't know whether her better half and the expired lady were impractically included.
As of now, Khan is the 'key suspect' for the situation, as the confirmation gathered so far shows he has a fundamental part in the occurrence, the officer said, including that nothing can be said as the substance examination report of the expired lady is normal in two weeks and will affirm numerous certainties for the situation.
The essential examination officer, SI Munir Qalandari, remarked that the case resemble a riddle. "The lady was clearly killed however we require the concoction examination report to confirm this." Sonia is being addressed and ideally soon we will follow Khan, he included.
Abdullah's father has been found in Mansehra who is 69 years old and it was his 2nd marriage with 35 years old Halima . He is coming Karachi to take the child with him , on ther other hand malik Riaz wishes to adopt the child .
We hope and pray the little angel will be in safe hands .
