And today, he has made us proud yet again, with the groundbreaking ceremony of the third Shaukat Khanum hospital in Karachi. The other two hospitals have been established in Lahore and Peshawar.
Speaking at the ceremony, Imran Khan said,
“It was not an easy task to arrange Rs700 million for the cancer hospitals and I had never thought that this journey to establish the cancer hospitals would be so difficult."
He also expressed his gratitude to the people of the metropolis for donating with open hands and making the hospital a reality.
The first hospital opened its doors on 29 December, 1994 with the vision to make cancer treatment accessible to every citizen of Pakistan. Twenty one years later the second hospital was inaugurated and now the third will begin its construction.
It is remarkable that Imran Khan is building a third hospital aimed towards treating cancer patients for free. Many celebrities were also present at the ceremony to support the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, while others poured in their support through social media.

The ceremony was attended by prominent celebrities like Javed Miandad, Behroze Sabzwari, Javed Sheikh and the ever politically vocal person, Hamza Ali Abbasi, who also hosted the event.
No matter what people said, Khan stuck to his mission and today, his dream is a reality.
