KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General (IG) AD Khawaja on Wednesday granted Rs50,000 prize to Yasir Jamil with for his "valiant" endeavors against robbers .
The Sindh police chief encouraged the citizen to try comparative efforts to help the police battle against wrongdoings in the city.
Two suspected robbers were shot dead by Yasir when they attempted to plunder him in Nazimabad No.1 late on Sunday evening, the Rizvia Society police said.
The suspects, riding a motorbike, allegedly blocked Yasir's family going in an auto in Urdu Bazaar territory with the aim of robbery . "Yasir, who had a licenced pistol, opened fire on them," said SSP Investigation Central Arab Mahar
"One suspect died on the spot while the other succumbed to his wounds during treatment at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Their identity could not be ascertained immediately," he said.
