RAWALPINDI: Fear holds the city as police keep on searching for a group that has been out cutting ladies after dark!
The gang has assaulted 32 ladies in the city since February, of whom one died while others were injured.
All the assaults occurred in the dispatches of Morgah police headquarters, which incorporate Kot Kalian and Rabia Bungalows.
In the most recent assault, the gang apparently using a blade cut an attendant to death and injured two others on Sunday night.
The culprits have injured a few ladies in the region and police are now chase for them, authorities say.
What has residents as well as authorities perplexed is the fact that the attackers make no demands and do not discriminate. They have been targeting women irrespective of age, attire and appearance.
Around 25 ladies were harmed with a blade like item in the initial three weeks of February this year.
After six months, four ladies were assaulted a week ago. On Sunday night, three ladies were assaulted of whom nurs Anum Naz succumbed to her injuries.
