Calcutta-based style photographer, Amit Dey, recently did a Photoshoot titled “Coy Mistress”. It concentrates on the double lives that people from the LGBT community need to live due to the pressures of society.
Being bisexual himself and having seen his companions from the group, he understood that many individuals were concealing their sexual characters, with all gatherings enduring all the while. “I wanted to make a point about love having no bar on gender. It just happens and we cannot predict how or when it does,” Dey said.
The stunning photo series tells the story of a man torn between his duties to the woman he accepted as a wife for society’s sake and his sexuality which draws him towards another man.
“The research for the photo series went on for six months,” Dey informed the IndianExpress.com when talking regarding the 'Coy Mistress'.
Dey shared the photo series on his Facebook page, which has already been shared hundreds of times and has received an overwhelmingly positive response.
