West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has come in for strong criticism for his comments towards a television presenter in an interview during his side's victory over Hobart Hurricanes at Bellerive Oval.

The batsman has been fined US $7,200 ; £4,900 by his club for "inappropriate conduct" after he asked a TV reporter for a date in a live interview.
